Hello! I’m Kristi Terrell, and I’m the office administrator at Hillside Community Church. I have attended Hillside nearly all of my life and came to know the Lord while attending Sunday school here as a child. I was blessed to be raised in a good Christian home that taught me the value and importance of having a personal relationship with Christ. It has been exciting to see that relationship grow and evolve through the years as I have gradually begun to understand just how awesome our God really is!
In February of 2002, God called me to serve in the office ministry. At that time my youngest son was only two and actually came to work with my every day, what a challenge that was! I am married with three boys and an avid soccer mom! If I’m not at church you will more than likely find me on the sidelines of a soccer field somewhere or camping (my other love). I have been involved with various ministries through the years. From children’s & women’s ministries to family life and music; I never know where God will call me next!
It has been a blessing to serve in this ministry for so many years. I enjoy my job and those that I work with and for. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions or concerns. If I can’t answer your question, I will do my best to direct you to someone who can! I’m normally in the office Tuesday-Thursday from 9:30 AM-3:30 PM and the office number is 360-825-1694, or email: HCCEnumclaw@gmail.com
Hello, my name is Maria Babcock. I have the privilege of cleaning the facilities at Hillside Community Church.
I have a servants heart and a longing to glorify my Lord in my work and in my family; resulting in being married to my husband Jack since 1972. We had the privilege of raising four children who serve as a veterinarian, teacher, programmer and owners of their own businesses. I also have the privilege of helping with my 4 grandchildren.
I came to the United States from Hungary in 1970. I began attending Hillside Community Church (formerly, Country Bible Church) and came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior while in my 20’s. It has been a joy serving the Lord in a variety of ways. The Lord has been very good to me and my family, and I’m very grateful to serve Him and seek to glorify Him in all of my life.
Carolyn Yerxa-Youth Director
Hello! My name is Carolyn Yerxa, and I have the very great privilege of being the Youth Director at Hillside Community Church. I have attended Hillside with my husband, Kyle since 2004. We have been blessed with 3 beautiful children. Our oldest is just beginning his years as a middle schooler, while our other two children are in elementary school. We love to go camping and exploring our great state.
I grew up in a Christian home in Ohio. My family and I regularly attended Sunday school and church. We moved to Washington State the summer before my freshman year in high school. In my high school years I attended a Christian concert with my youth group. It was there that I made my own personal commitment to follow Christ. That decision set me down the path of believing and learning about our awesome God. I love to continually learn about God through group led and individual bible study.
Youth group is very important for today’s youth. I have been involved in youth group at Hillside for five years. For the past two years I also volunteer my time as a leader of Wyldlife (which is a part of Younglife) for middle schoolers. I have a heart for teens, I love their energy and their curiosity. You can often find groups of kids at our house. I love to open our home and our lives to kids, but I am most passionate about walking beside and teaching teens about Jesus. My husband Kyle helps out in our youth group as well. It is a great pleasure to work together creating a safe and fun environment for teens to learn and grow together.
